Oh Christmas Tree

After!
During...

Before...
I'ld like to say we loaded the family up and drove into the mountains, searching for the perfect Christmas tree....but, we did find a great local tree lot and picked out a good-looking tree. I love the smell of a real Christmas tree. It's a smell that brings back wonderful childhood memories of Christmas. The kids had a great time decorating it. I had to do a little reshifting of ornaments once they were in bed...most ornaments ended up in one spot on the tree.

Elves make a visit

The other night, there was a knock at the door. On our doorstep was a Christmas bag and a note that said, "To the Robison kids. From, Santa's Elves." Inside were four pairs of Christmas pj's. The kids were so excited; and they thought they heard Santa's sleigh fly off.
The kids are at such a fun age where Christmas really comes alive and their excitement is contagious. It's fun to get their Christmas pj's early in December so they can enjoy them all month.

Peek-a-Boo

Bridger has discovered the game of peek-a-boo. He loves putting a blanket, or in this case, a hat over his head and pulling it up. He loves the reaction he receives from the audience. He recently learned how to cover his eyes with his hands; though sometimes covers his ears instead.

Thanksgiving

The new game Papa got.
Papa got a new game the boys are into.
The boy table...lets eat!
The girl table...ready to eat!

We went to Idaho this year for Thanksgiving and spent it with the Robison family. The kids love going there and spending time with their cousins. When we get together, there are a lot of little kids...13 under the age of 9. They loved going on four wheeler rides, catching bunnies, shooting guns, and everything else you can do on a farm. We also celebrated Christmas while we were there since it is the Robison's off year.

Family Pictures

If there is one thing I am horrible at, it would be family pictures. It stresses me out...so we don't do it very often. What to wear? Where to take them? Will all the kids (and Rhett) look in the same direction at the same time when the picture is snapped? No.

Anyway, thank you Andrew and Kristen for taking our pictures. You guys did great and are awesome!

snow...ALREADY?

Yep, we woke up this morning to snow! The kids were so excited; they
could hardly wait to get their snow clothes on! They take building
snowmen quite seriously. No one is allowed to walk on the grass..it might
ruin the snow. I even saw Tate taking snow from the neighbors yard and
bringing it over.

Trick-or-Treat

This past week, Hunter had a field trip to Pumpkin Land in Orem. He got
to pick out a pumpkin and he decorated it at school the following day. Tate and Bridger got to join in on the fun.

The kids had a great time carving pumpkins. They each designed their own jack-o-lantern face.

I helped out at Hailey's class Halloween party. It forced me to step out of
my "box" and dress up...which I haven't done in years!

(Peter Pan Theme: Tinkerbell, Lost Boy, Captain Hook, Peter Pan)

I also figured that if I'm dressing up, Rhett has to, too! He was a good
sport. The kids wanted him to be the crocodile from Peter Pan, but settled with Mr. Smead. (The costume was a little easier to put together.) The
kids had a great time trick-or-treating...and got way too much candy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

OCTOBER SUMMARY

Well, I just thought I'ld quickly summarize the month of October...before we move on to the next month. The Adams came down for Conference
weekend...everyone was in attendance (except Little Laur and Evan...we
missed you!). We had a pre-birthday party for Alison (who turned the
BIG 30) and Tate (now 3).
Yep, I am now 30. I have to admit, I did have a hard time with the idea of 30, but have now decided it's just a number..and there are worse
alternatives! Tate had a wonderful time turning 3 and was so excited to
have blue cupcakes!

Rhett had two kills this hunting season. He drew out for muzzle loader in
Utah, and killed a two point up AF canyon. Then continued on up to
Idaho where he killed a four point whitetail.

Gone and Done It

Well, we did it! We joined the world of Blog! Hopefully we can keep it up to date! I say "we", but lets be honest, Rhett doesn't do the computer thing; let alone blog thing, SOOO, hopefully I, Alison, can try/pretend to be computer literate and get this blog goin'!
